I’m always in the mood for a delicious Indian chicken curry. Here’s one that I will keep coming back to because you can’t go wrong with pepper chicken! It’s loaded with flavor and smells fantastic. Enjoy!
Time:
- Prep time – 15 minutes
- Cook time – 20 minutes
Ingredients:
- Chicken (Chopped into small pieces) – 500 g
- Red Onion (Finely Chopped) – 2
- Tomato (Chopped) – 2
- Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Fennel seeds – 1/4 tsp
- Mustard Seeds – 1/4 tsp
- Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
- Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
- Black Pepper Powder – 1.5 tsp
- Garam masala Powder – 1 tsp
- Chicken broth – 1/2 cup
- Cinnamon Stick – 1 or 2-inch stick
- Oil – 3 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Coriander leaves for garnish
Method:
- Heat the oil in a wok
- Add the chicken and mix until it becomes brown. Remove the chicken and set aside.
- Add the onion and mix until it is golden-brown
- Add the cumin, fennel, and mustard seeds. Mix well for a minute
- Add the ginger-garlic paste and mix for 2 minutes
- Add the chilly powder, turmeric powder, black pepper powder, and garam masala. Mix well for a minute
- Add the tomatoes. Mix until it is cooked through
- Add the chicken, chicken broth, cinnamon stick, and salt to taste. Mix well, then cover and cook until the chicken is cooked through
- Garnish with coriander leaves
- Serve with roti or rice 🙂
