Aam Ka Panna

This raw mango drink is a traditional summer drink in India, especially in the northern parts where the temp soars high during the summer. It is refreshing, rejuvenating and will keep your body temperature cool. Raw mango drinks have the added benefit of being rich in vitamin C and iron. Try this for the summer 🙂


  • Raw mango – 1
  • Sugar – 1 to 3/4 cup
  • Black salt – 3/4 tsp
  • Black Pepper Powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Roasted cumin seed powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Chia Seeds (Soak Overnight in Water) – 3 tsp (OPTIONAL)
  • Cold water as required


  1. Pressure cook the raw mango for 6 to 8 whistles with a cup of water. If using an electric cooker, pressure cook for 15 minutes on high or until the mango is soft and pulpy
  2. Let it cool and scoop the pulp only, discarding the skin and seed
  3. Grind this pulp to a smooth paste adding water
  4. Add the other ingredients and mix well
  5. Put a couple of tsp’s of this mixture into a serving glass. Add water, ice, and chia seeds. Mix well. Adjust the taste by adding more of the mix if required
  6. Enjoy 🙂
