Radish Masala

Radish is one of the tastiest vegetables out there with so many variations to prepare it! I have been experimenting with radish this past month and have come up with a delicious radish masala dish that will go well with chappatis. Some of the benefits of daikon radish include its prevention of certain types of cancer, boosting the immune system, improving digestion, detoxifying the body, strengthening bones, and stimulating weight loss. After all those benefits, how can one keep away?

  • Garam Masala – 3/4 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Vegetable Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Coriander Leaves for garnish

  1. Heat the oil in a deep dish pan. Add the ginger-garlic paste and onions. Saute till the onions are golden brown
  2. Add the radish and saute for 10 minutes on medium heat
  3. Once all the water has evaporated, add the masalas and salt. Saute for 5 minutes until everything is well combined. Add little water if it gets too dry
  4. Garnish with coriander and enjoy 🙂
