Today I paired a healthy salad with our Asian lunch (fried rice and sesame chicken). So I took my sprouts recipe from the past and changed it up a little bit. The result was a fresh, crunchy, sprout salad with a spicy kick. We loved it and hope you will too!
Time:

- Cook time – 5 minutes
Ingredients:
- Bean Sprouts – 350 g
- Sambal Oelek – 1 tsp
- Hoisin Sauce – 1/2 tsp
- Garlic (Minced) – 1/2 tsp
- Low Sodium Soy Sauce – 2 tsp
- Small Green Chilli (Chopped) – 1
- Sesame Oil – 2 tsp
- Salt – 1/2 tsp
- Green Onion (Chopped) – 3
- Toasted Sesame Seeds – 1 tbsp
Method:
- Rinse the sprouts, then blanch in boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain and allow to cool in cold water
- In a heated pan, toast the sesame seeds and garlic. Maintain at a medium low temperature
- In a large bowl, mix the cooked sprouts, sambal oelek, hoisin sauce, green chilli, green onion, soy sauce, salt, sesame oil, and the toasted ingredients
