Classic Coleslaw

Coleslaw is one of those salads that I can eat copious amounts of and not complain.This creamy side dish is a perfect addition to your meal. Most of you probably remember KFC’s coleslaw which was perfect with a bowl of fried chicken. This recipe is inspired by the KFC coleslaw dish, and the dressing is finger lickin’ good 😀

Time: 

  • Prep time – 15 minutes
  • Cook time – NA

Ingredients: 

  • Cabbage (Finely Chopped) – 1.5 cups
  • Carrot (Shredded) – 1/4 cup
  • Red Cabbage (Finely Chopped) – 1/4 cup
  • Mayonnaise – 2 tbsp
  • Sugar – 1 tsp
  • Milk – 2 tsp
  • Lemon Juice – 1/4 tsp
  • White Vinegar – 1/8 tsp
  • Salt – a pinch
  • Black Pepper Powder – a pinch

Method: 

  1. Before you begin, ensure that the veggies are cut really small to get the right consistency for coleslaw
  2. In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sugar, milk, lemon juice, vinegar, salt and black pepper powder. Mix well until everything is well incorporated
  3. Take a serving bowl and add the chopped veggies. Pour the dressing from Step 2 over the chopped veggies
  4. Mix well and serve immediately 🙂
