Bean Sprouts and Noodles make an amazing pair. This is your go-to recipe for a weeknight. It can feed a family of four in a matter of minutes! Good with some bbq duck on the side 🙂
Time:
- Prep time – 5 minutes
- Cook time – 15 minutes
Ingredients:
- Egg Noodles – 350 g or 12 oz
- Bean Sprouts – 350 g
- Spring Onions (Chopped) – 8
- Oyster Sauce – 1 tbsp
- Low Sodium Soy Sauce – 2.5 tbsp
- Kecap Manis (Sweet thick soy sauce) – 2.5 tbsp
- Sesame oil – 2 tbsp
- Toasted Sesame Seeds for garnish – 1 tsp
- Salt – 1/2 tsp
Method:
- Wash the bean sprouts in cold water and set aside
- Heat water with the salt in a large deep dish pan. Once the water is boiling, add the egg noodles. Stir and let to noodles cook as per your package instructions (You want it slightly undercooked as it will cook more while you stir fry)
- Strain the egg noodles and let it soak in some cold water
- Meanwhile, heat the sesame oil in a deep dish pan
- Add the strained noodles, bean sprouts and spring onions. Quickly add all the sauces and mix it all well
- Add the toasted sesame seeds and serve 🙂
