Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings

I make chicken wings as a snack almost every weekend! I try to make it different all the time: BBQ wings, honey glazed wings, spicy wings, buffalo wings etcetera. This week it was sweet and spicy chicken wings which filled my home with a delicious aroma and tasted so good all I heard was oooh’s and ahhh’s! This is a must try if you want a great balance of sweet, spicy, acidic and crunchy 🙂

Time:

  • Prep time – 10 minutes
  • Cook time – 50 minutes

Ingredients for the chicken: 

  • Chicken Party Wings – 500 g
  • Unsalted Butter  (Melted) – 1 tbsp
  • Sesame oil – 1 tbsp
  • Garlic Powder – 1 tsp
  • Salt – 1/4 tsp
  • Cayenne pepper – 1/8 tsp

Ingredients for the sauce:

  • Unsalted Butter – 1.5 tbsp
  • Crushed Red Pepper Flakes – 1/8 tsp heaping
  • Cornstarch – 1/4 tsp
  • Sesame Seeds – 1/2 tsp
  • Ginger (Finely chopped) – 1/4 tsp
  • Fresh Lime Juice – 1 tsp
  • Distilled White Vinegar – 1 tsp
  • Honey – 1 tbsp
  • Sriracha sauce – 1 tbsp
  • Low Sodium Soy Sauce – 1 tsp
  • Coriander Leaves – 1 tbsp
