Who doesn’t love fries? Top that with some melted cheese and crispy meat and you got yourself a sinful dish! I love french fries and I especially love toppings on french fries. It’s one of those dishes you can’t stop munching on. Enjoy this dish at your next BBQ or get together!
Time:
- Prep time – 10 minutes
- Cook time – 30 minutes
Ingredients:
- Large Russet Potatoes – 3 OR Frozen French Fries – 500 g
- If using frozen fries, follow the instructions on the package on how to prepare them
- Beef Bacon – 200 g
- Shredded Aged Cheddar – 1/2 cup
- Jalapeño – 1/5 cup (OPTIONAL)
- Ranch Dressing – 2 tbsp
- Oil – 2 tbsp
Method:
- Cut the beef bacon into small squares and saute this in a pan (no oil needed) until it is crispy. Set aside
- Boil the Russet Potatoes for 10 minutes in salted water and then cut them into french fry shapes
- Toss the boiled fries in the oil. Then bake the french fries, arranged as a single layer, in the oven for 15 minutes at 450 F. Then turn them and bake for 10 minutes more (If you don’t want to bake the fries, deep fry the fries in oil)
- Turn the oven off
- After baking the french fries, sprinkle the aged cheddar over it and put it in the cooling oven for 3 minutes to let the cheese melt
- Add the ranch dressing, beef bacon and jalapeño to the top and enjoy 🙂
